Can you trade cTrader from TradingView? Yes, through a bridge. cTrader has no native TradingView integration, so PickMyTrade receives your TradingView webhook alert and places the matching order on any cTrader broker account through the Open API, with no coding. cTrader support is in beta: live and taking orders, with features still being added.

What is not supported

  • A native TradingView integration inside cTrader; a bridge such as PickMyTrade is required.
  • Running as a cBot on cTrader Cloud, which has no internet access, so webhooks cannot reach a cBot there.
  • Every feature yet: cTrader support is in beta and features are still being added.

How do you connect TradingView to cTrader in 4 steps?

  1. 1

    Create a PickMyTrade Account

    Sign up and start your 7-day free trial — no credit card required.

  2. 2

    Add Your cTrader Connection

    Enter your cTrader account details in PickMyTrade and set your default risk management — stop-loss, take-profit, and position sizing.

  3. 3

    Generate Your Webhook Alert

    PickMyTrade builds the exact alert message and webhook URL for your cTrader order. Copy both — there's nothing to code.

  4. 4

    Paste Into TradingView and Go Live

    Create a TradingView alert, paste the message into the alert box and the webhook URL into the Notifications tab. Test on a demo account, confirm the fill, then switch to live trading.

What does a TradingView alert for cTrader look like?

This is the JSON message PickMyTrade generates for a market order. Paste it directly into your TradingView alert box.

{
  "symbol": "EURUSD",
  "action": "buy",
  "volume": 0.10,
  "order_type": "market",
  "token": "YOUR_PICKMYTRADE_TOKEN"
}

PickMyTrade auto-fills the exact symbol, volume, and order-type formatting your cTrader account expects — you don't have to write this by hand.

What can you automate on cTrader?

PickMyTrade can automate any TradingView strategy that trades forex, indices, commodities, or crypto CFDs through your cTrader account — on whichever broker actually holds it, from single-pair day trading to multi-broker scaling.

  • Market, limit, and stop orders on any forex, index, commodity, or crypto CFD your cTrader account lists
  • Fixed-lot or risk-percentage position sizing per account
  • Attached stop-loss and take-profit on every automated order
  • Multiple cTrader accounts — even across different brokers — from one alert
  • Demo-account testing before you risk live capital

If your strategy already fires a TradingView alert, PickMyTrade can turn it into a cTrader order without you touching cTrader Automate or writing a single line of C#.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't a cBot just listen for my TradingView webhook directly?

Because cBots running on cTrader Cloud have no internet access, by design — a webhook can never reach them there, and running one locally means keeping a VPS or your own PC online 24/7. PickMyTrade avoids this entirely by running server-side against cTrader's Open API instead of inside a cBot, so there's no cloud restriction to work around.

Is cTrader a broker?

No. cTrader is a trading platform built by Spotware, offered by many independent brokers — including IC Markets, Pepperstone, FP Markets, FxPro, and BlackBull Markets, among others. You open an account with one of those brokers and choose cTrader as your platform; PickMyTrade then connects to that account.

Do I need to know C# or cTrader Automate to automate cTrader?

No. cTrader Automate (formerly cAlgo) is for traders who want to hand-code their own C# cBots inside the platform. PickMyTrade is a separate, no-code path: you connect your account, generate a webhook, and paste it into TradingView — no programming involved.

Why is my cTrader account commission-based instead of spread-only?

cTrader is built as an ECN/STP platform, so every account is raw spread plus a per-lot commission — there's no fixed-spread account type the way some MetaTrader accounts offer. That's a platform-level design choice by Spotware, not something specific to any one broker.

Does cTrader support prop firm and funded accounts?

Yes. A number of prop firms run their evaluation and funded accounts on cTrader, including FTMO, FundingPips, The5ers, FundedNext, and Alpha Capital Group. Copy trading and automation rules vary by firm and change over time, so confirm your firm's current policy before automating a funded account.

No Cloud cBot Limitations

cBots running on cTrader Cloud can't reach the internet, so a webhook can never reach them there. PickMyTrade runs server-side against the Open API instead, so that restriction never applies to you.
