Goat Funded Trader Basics

What is Goat Funded Trader?
Goat Funded Trader is a proprietary trading firm that provides funded accounts to traders who pass an evaluation. You pay an evaluation fee, reach a profit target without breaking the drawdown rules, and move to a funded account where you keep a share of the profits. The Key facts table above lists Goat Funded Trader's current plans and payout terms.
Is Goat Funded Trader legit?
Always verify independently before purchasing. Check the firm's official documentation. Read the funded trader agreement carefully before paying any evaluation fee. Prop firm rules, fees, and payout policies change frequently.
Are Goat Funded Trader accounts real money or simulated?
Retail prop firm accounts, including those at Goat Funded Trader, typically run on simulated infrastructure that mirrors real market data. Payouts are funded from the firm's evaluation revenue rather than from live market profits. The Key facts table above shows how Goat Funded Trader's funded accounts are structured.
Is Goat Funded Trader regulated?
Prop firms generally operate as technology or contractor companies rather than regulated broker-dealers or FCMs, so they are typically not registered with the SEC, CFTC, FINRA, or FCA. The relationship is governed by the trader agreement, not by securities regulation. Read {name}'s agreement for its exact legal terms before paying.

Account Types

What evaluation models does Goat Funded Trader offer?
Goat Funded Trader offers evaluation programs in which you reach a profit target while staying inside drawdown limits. Each model differs in account size, target, and drawdown type. The Key facts table above shows which models Goat Funded Trader offers right now.
What is the difference between the evaluation and funded account at Goat Funded Trader?
The evaluation is the test phase where you must hit a profit target without breaching drawdown rules. The funded account is the phase you graduate into after passing, where you can request payouts based on your trading performance. Rules, drawdown types, and payout mechanics often differ between the two phases.
Does Goat Funded Trader offer instant funding?
Some prop firms sell instant funding alongside standard evaluations: you skip the profit-target phase, usually pay more, and often get stricter drawdown or payout terms. Whether Goat Funded Trader offers it is covered in the Key facts table above.
Can I run multiple funded accounts at Goat Funded Trader?
Running several funded accounts at once is common, often with a per-person cap. Firms usually restrict hedging between accounts and copying trades across them in ways that look like one position split up. The Key facts table above shows the account limit for Goat Funded Trader.

Plans & Pricing

What account sizes does Goat Funded Trader offer?
Prop firms sell evaluations in several account sizes, from small starter accounts to large ones, and the fee rises with size. Promotional discounts can change the price a lot. See the Key facts table above for Goat Funded Trader's sizes and fees and the date they were checked.
Does Goat Funded Trader charge monthly fees or one-time fees?
Evaluation pricing follows one of two models: a recurring monthly subscription until you pass, or a one-time fee per attempt. The model affects total cost if you need several attempts. The Key facts table above states which one Goat Funded Trader uses.
Does Goat Funded Trader offer discount codes?
Prop firms often run recurring promotions around holidays and product launches, usually through promo codes or newsletters. Codes change quickly, so a code from an aggregator may already be expired. Compare Goat Funded Trader's discounted price with the standard fee in the Key facts table above.

Profit Targets

What are the profit targets on Goat Funded Trader evaluations?
The profit target is the amount you must earn in an evaluation to pass, set as a percentage of the starting balance (commonly 6-10%). A bigger account means a bigger dollar target. Goat Funded Trader's targets per plan are in the Key facts table above.
Do profit targets exist on funded accounts at Goat Funded Trader?
Many prop firms drop the profit target once you are funded and focus on drawdown limits and payout eligibility, such as minimum profit and number of winning days. So the goal shifts from hitting a target to staying consistent. Goat Funded Trader's funded-phase terms are summarised above.
Does Goat Funded Trader evaluate on closing balance or floating equity?
Profit targets are usually measured on closed (realized) P&L, not floating equity, so you must close positions for gains to count toward the target. An open winning trade alone will not pass the evaluation. Confirm Goat Funded Trader's measurement basis in the Key facts table above.

Drawdowns: Trailing & Daily

What type of drawdown does Goat Funded Trader use?
A drawdown limit caps how much you can lose. The main types are trailing drawdown (the floor rises with your profits), static maximum drawdown (a fixed floor from the starting balance), and a daily loss limit. See the Key facts table above for Goat Funded Trader's type and amounts.
Does the drawdown at Goat Funded Trader apply to unrealized (floating) P&L?
Drawdown is measured either on equity (including open positions) or on balance (closed trades only). Intraday trailing drawdowns follow unrealized P&L tick by tick, while end-of-day drawdowns update only at session close. Which basis Goat Funded Trader uses is shown in the Key facts table above.
What happens when I breach the drawdown at Goat Funded Trader?
Breaching the drawdown limit normally liquidates open positions and closes the account. In an evaluation you must buy a new one or pay for a reset, if the firm offers resets. The Key facts table above notes Goat Funded Trader's breach consequences.
What is a daily loss limit (DLL) at Goat Funded Trader?
A daily loss limit (DLL) caps your loss within one trading day. Breaching it usually suspends trading until the next session instead of closing the account, though some firms treat it as a full breach. Goat Funded Trader's DLL amounts are in the Key facts table above.

Consistency Rule

Does Goat Funded Trader have a consistency rule?
Many prop firms enforce a consistency rule that limits how much of your total profit can come from a single trading day — typically expressed as a maximum percentage (e.g., 30–50%). This prevents traders from qualifying via one large lucky trade. Check whether Goat Funded Trader enforces this rule and the exact threshold.
Does violating the consistency rule fail my account at Goat Funded Trader?
Typically, violating the consistency rule blocks a payout request rather than failing the account. You would need to trade additional smaller-profit days to bring your best-day percentage back under the threshold before requesting a payout. Confirm Goat Funded Trader's exact policy.
Does the consistency rule reset after a payout at Goat Funded Trader?
The consistency clock usually resets after each approved payout, so the next payout cycle starts from zero and earlier big days no longer count against you. Whether this applies to Goat Funded Trader is stated in the Key facts table above.

Trading Days, Hours & Holidays

Does Goat Funded Trader require a minimum number of trading days?
Many prop firms require a minimum number of qualifying trading days before a payout. A qualifying day usually means you traded and made at least a set minimum profit that day. The exact count and threshold for Goat Funded Trader are in the Key facts table above.
Can I hold positions overnight at Goat Funded Trader?
Overnight rules differ by firm and account type. Futures-focused firms often require all positions flat before the daily close, while others allow swing trades held overnight or over weekends. Check the Key facts table above for Goat Funded Trader's policy.

Instruments & Markets

What instruments can I trade at Goat Funded Trader?
Prop firms offer different markets depending on focus: forex pairs, futures, indices, commodities, or a mix. Futures firms trade CME products like ES and NQ, while forex firms use MT4/MT5 symbols. Goat Funded Trader's tradable instruments are in the Key facts table above.
What are the contract/lot size limits at Goat Funded Trader?
Prop firms cap position size to manage risk, usually as a maximum number of contracts (futures) or lots (forex), scaled to account size. Exceeding it can trigger a rule breach. See the Key facts table above for Goat Funded Trader's limits per account size.

Automation & EAs

Does Goat Funded Trader allow automated trading / EAs?
Algorithmic trading and Expert Advisors (EAs) are allowed at many prop firms, but strategies like HFT, latency arbitrage, and tick scalping are commonly restricted. The permitted scope is set in the trader agreement. Goat Funded Trader's automation stance is summarised in the Key facts table above.
Can I automate Goat Funded Trader with TradingView via PickMyTrade?

Setup takes about 5 minutes: (1) Create a PickMyTrade account at app.pickmytrade.io. (2) Connect your broker account (the one linked to your Goat Funded Trader evaluation or funded account). (3) Configure your strategy settings — instrument, order size, direction. (4) Click "Generate Alert" to get the JSON payload and webhook URL. (5) Paste both into your TradingView alert. Done — your TradingView signals will now fire trades on your Goat Funded Trader account within ~200ms.
How much does PMT cost on top of Goat Funded Trader fees?
$50/month per broker connection. PickMyTrade supports unlimited accounts under the same broker login with a single subscription. If you have accounts under different broker logins, each login requires its own subscription. There is a 7-day free trial, no card required — start at pickmytrade.io.

How fast does PickMyTrade execute trades on Goat Funded Trader?
PickMyTrade processes webhooks and submits orders to your broker in approximately 200 milliseconds from when TradingView fires the alert. This is suitable for most strategy types. High-frequency or pure tick-scalping strategies should evaluate whether webhook latency is acceptable for their edge.

Payouts

What is the profit split at Goat Funded Trader?
The profit split is the percentage of funded-account profit you keep. Splits typically range from 70% to 100% and can rise with scaling tiers or payout count. Goat Funded Trader's split is shown in the Key facts table above.
How often can I request payouts at Goat Funded Trader?
Payout frequency depends on the firm: some allow on-demand withdrawals once you are eligible, others pay weekly, biweekly, or monthly, usually after a minimum profit threshold. See the Key facts table above for Goat Funded Trader's payout cadence and minimums.
How does Goat Funded Trader pay out — bank transfer or other methods?
Prop firms pay out through bank wire, ACH, PayPal, or platforms such as Deel, Rise, or Tipalti, and availability depends on your country. Processing times range from hours to several business days. Goat Funded Trader's supported methods are listed in the Key facts table above.
Is Goat Funded Trader income taxable?
Yes — prop firm payouts are generally taxable income in most jurisdictions. In the US, payouts are typically self-employment income reported on Schedule C, subject to income tax and self-employment tax. Consult a licensed tax professional familiar with trading income for guidance specific to your situation.
Does Goat Funded Trader scale funded accounts?
Scaling programs raise your funded balance after you show consistent profit, typically by hitting profit milestones within set drawdown rules. They can also change your profit split. The Key facts table above notes whether Goat Funded Trader offers scaling.

Goat Funded Trader: trader questions answered

Can I use an EA on Goat Funded Trader?
Yes, with conditions. Goat Funded Trader allows EAs that follow its prohibited trading practices rule, but bans high-frequency trading systems and Gold Arbitrage EAs. Its prohibited list also bans third-party, off-the-shelf or pass-the-challenge EAs, and GFT may ask you to show the code to prove the EA is yours. You cannot use an EA to pass the evaluation and then trade manually when funded, or the reverse. If your EA needs a VPS, check your account type, because VPS use is banned on several models.
Which Goat Funded Trader accounts allow a VPS?
For accounts purchased from August 12, 2026 onwards, Goat Funded Trader strictly prohibits a VPS on One Step, Two Step, Instant Premium and Pay Later accounts. A VPS is still permitted on Instant GOAT and Instant Hero. Accounts purchased before August 12, 2026 are not affected by this restriction. If your EA depends on a VPS and your account type is on the banned list, you cannot run that EA there. Breaking the access policy can lead to breaches, payout rejection or permanent exclusion.
Can I use a VPN on Goat Funded Trader, and what happens if my IP changes or I travel?
A VPN is allowed on Goat Funded Trader, but if the Risk Team sees unusual or inconsistent login locations, it may ask for proof of the VPN service. The region you buy from and the region you trade the funded account from should stay reasonably consistent. If you plan to trade from another country, GFT recommends telling support in advance. It may request travel tickets, passport stamps or video verification. Shared devices are strictly prohibited, and repeated unexplained IP changes can trigger a full investigation.
Can I copy trades between my own Goat Funded Trader accounts?
Only between funded accounts. Goat Funded Trader says copy trading between funded accounts is allowed, but copying from one evaluation account to another, or from an evaluation account to a funded account, is not. Its prohibited practices add that you cannot duplicate trades, whether manually or by EA, and that this covers both the trades and the trade ideas. Copying from signal providers, trading groups, third-party services or other traders is prohibited on every account. GFT suggests contacting support if you are unsure about a specific service.
If I trade a popular strategy I learned on Twitter, will Goat Funded Trader flag me for copy trading?
Goat Funded Trader's written rule targets copying trades, not learning a method. Its signals policy prohibits copying trades from signal providers, trading groups, third-party services or other traders, and says all trading decisions must be made independently, based on your own analysis and judgment. The help center does not say how it separates two traders using the same public strategy from coordinated copying. If you are unsure whether something you follow counts as a signal service, GFT asks you to contact support before using it.
Is it hedging on Goat Funded Trader if I buy NAS100 and sell XAUUSD at the same time?
Goat Funded Trader defines hedging as opening two opposite positions on the same asset, regardless of lot size or calculated risk. By that written definition, a NAS100 buy and an XAUUSD sell are different assets, and the page does not mention correlated instruments. Same-asset hedging is strictly prohibited everywhere: within one account, across your own accounts, with other traders, and with another firm's account. Hedging against an external firm leads to an immediate breach and a permanent ban. If your two trades are meant to offset each other, ask support first.
What happens to trades I close in under 2 minutes on a Goat Funded Trader funded account?
On Goat Funded Trader funded accounts, profit from any trade open for less than 2 minutes (120 seconds) is treated as invalid and removed when you request a payout, while losses from those trades still count. You may still open and close trades that fast. Removing that profit is not a breach or rule violation; it only lowers the payout amount. The rule does not apply to evaluation accounts. Watch the payout minimum, though: a payout request needs at least $100 of profit.
Can I trade news on Goat Funded Trader?
Yes. Goat Funded Trader allows trading during news, but any trade opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after a red-folder high-impact release can make at most 1% of the account's initial balance. That includes trades closed by stop loss, take profit or pending orders. The cap applies to both the challenge and funded phases. Profit above 1% is removed during account review, without a breach or penalty. The Swing challenge account is listed as allowing unrestricted news trading.
How does the Goat Funded Trader consistency rule work for payouts?
On Goat Funded Trader models that have one, no single trading day can make up the set percentage or more of your total profit in the payout period. The percentage differs by model; Instant GOAT and Instant Hero use 15%. With a 15% rule and $5,000 total profit, your best day must stay under $750. Missing it is not a breach; you simply cannot request a payout until your best day falls below the limit, so keep trading with smaller days. Partial closes count on the day each part closes.
How long does a Goat Funded Trader payout take, and when do I do KYC?
Goat Funded Trader processes payout requests within 2 business days, not counting weekends and public holidays, and adds $1,000 if it misses that window, unless the delay comes from pending KYC or a request for more information. KYC and the Trader Agreement happen when you request your first payout, not when you get the funded account, and the 2-day clock starts after verification. The minimum request is $100, each request must be for the full profit, and your payout account must be in your name and unused on any other GFT account.
